WELCOME

Easter and two thirds of the way through this academic year ...

As I reflect on the term that has just ended, my attention is drawn not only to the bespoke lessons that have been planned for your daughters and the individual achievements that we have celebrated each week, but also to the countless showcases of talent and teamwork we have witnessed.

Prime examples include the Year 3-4 production of The Wizard of Oz and the GDST Condover netball tournament where our Year 6 Team celebrated success by bringing home the plate.  There has also been an impressive schedule of music concerts and carefully curated study visits to the Southwell Workhouse, the Framework Knitters Museum, Farmer Barnes Dairy, the Yorkshire Wildlife Park and Coventry Cathedral - plus residential experiences further afield at Hadrian's Wall and the Robinwood Activity Centre.

Please do visit our year group pages and SPARK to learn about these incredible learning and enrichment opportunities, and also to see what is in store for your daughter as she moves up through the Junior School.

I have missed ending the term in school and celebrating with the girls and staff, as I am still recovering from a skiing injury.  For someone who has never broken a bone in her life, this has been quite a setback; I am having to embrace every ounce of the NGHS Recipe for Success and am very much focused on returning at the start of the Summer Term.  Until then, I wish you all a restful Easter break.

We send warm wishes to those members of our school community who mark the events of Holy Week and Easter.  We hope that the spirit of Easter brings you hope, love and renewed strength for the days ahead.
